I’m Wilson Hung, Growth @ Kettle & Fire, previously Growth @ SumoMe, Process Engineer @ ExxonMobil.

I quit my job as a chemical engineer to apply a data-driven, and scientific approach to acquiring customers.

My Quick Story

Hey, I’m Wilson.

Welcome to my blog. The first two versions of this blog post were super long, so to avoid boring you with my whole life story, I’m going to start from scratch. I will give you a short version of who I am, and what I have achieved so far.

  • At 19, I started my first business selling shot glasses to my engineering faculty.
  • At 21, while I was on my co-op term in Calgary, I used my vacation days to film and edit new hire HR videos for Spartan Controls.
  • At 23, I graduated Queen’s University with my chemical engineering degree. I was hired by ExxonMobil to start up the $33B Kearl Oil Sands Project.
  • At 24, I created a group dating website on my free time
  • At 25, I quit my job to work on my own projects and I’ll be sharing what I learn on this blog.
  • Within 4 months, I grew my side-project and leveraged it to get a job @ SumoMe with Noah Kagan
  • At 26 (that’s now), I joined Kettle & Fire as the second hire where we’ve been able to achieve 7-figure revenues in less than a year.
